Bridegroom

upon a silk and wilting marriage pillow
maidens tearful lamenting wanes not
lest efforts stay simple minded
compared to loves mantle, here casts my lot.

on the deck of loves golden sailing ship
with a face as blush pink petal in the light
if only to kiss quivering fair lip
easing dusty sorrows for present joys

now innocent ploys demand my turn
holding the roof upon structure and beam
so what my dear maiden indeed does yearn
would transform into an everlasting dream

deeds proven valiant frailty will shed
to keep the wanting for our wedding bed
